Introduction to high-speed cable:

A high-speed Direct Attach Cable (DAC) is a cable component with a fixed length and fixed interfaces at both ends. The interface used at the end of high-speed cable is the same as that used in optical module. However, compared with optical module, the connector module on high-speed cable does not have expensive optical laser and other electronic components, which can greatly save cost and power consumption in short-distance applications. DAC, as a low-cost and cost-effective solution for high-speed data communication, can replace optical module.
