1. Different working environments are available

Industrial grade optical module is used in the industrial production environment of the optical module, because many industrial production environment is not very good, there are extreme temperature and large temperature difference, in addition to the existence of vibration and other adverse factors. However, commercial environment is not the same. Generally, there is a comfortable environment, temperature and humidity are relatively stable, and they are not extreme. Therefore, commercial optical modules usually need to be used in a good and stable environment.

2. The temperature and test method of the chip are different

Normally, the chip of industrial optical module can withstand the temperature from minus 40 degrees Celsius to more than 15 degrees Celsius. During the test, high and low temperature aging test is needed to see the aging reaction under the extreme temperature. However, commercial grade optical modules only need to be tested at room temperature because their chips can withstand temperatures ranging from zero to real degrees Celsius.

3. Different temperature compensation

For industrial optical modules, temperature compensation software must be introduced. Its function is to ensure that the optical module has a stable working current supply. When the temperature changes, the temperature compensation software will take effect. Commercial grade optical modules, which are favored by customers, do not require temperature compensation, so they do not increase material and manufacturing costs.
